In 2026, VESNA© launches The White Room, an independent editorial interview project created in Montecito by Kate Kolody, founder of commercial transformation agency VESNA©.
The White Room explores how accomplished people think, make decisions, and navigate complexity. The project brings together entrepreneurs, investors, architects, designers, scientists, authors, and other professionals whose work shapes companies, projects, spaces, and ideas. It is a nonprofit editorial initiative created with an educational and cultural purpose.
Kate Kolody serves as the project’s founder, executive producer, and host.
Each episode is built around the experience of a single guest and the way that person approaches their work and the world around them. Conversations explore decisions, intuition, risk, observation, patterns of thought, accumulated knowledge, and the moments that alter the course of a career or an idea.
The project draws on the stories of people from the communities of Santa Barbara and Montecito, where architecture, entrepreneurship, investment, design, art, and private cultural life exist in unusually close proximity.
The White Room begins its first production cycle in fall 2026. Filming takes place in a series of individually conceived sessions, each with its own visual and editorial direction.
The name The White Room is a metaphor: each guest enters an open space and fills it with their own experience, ideas, and way of seeing the world. It is an intellectual project centered on achievement and the ways accomplished people think — a subject that sits at the heart of VESNA© and remains a central area of study for Kate Kolody.
Local organizations, including La Cumbre Center for Creative Arts, have already joined the project, alongside international premium fashion brands SORAMAME and LaMai Atelier.
The White Room is building an open archive of professional and human experience from people who create companies, spaces, culture, and new ideas. The project preserves their stories, observations, and knowledge through conversations available to a wider audience, creating a space where knowledge and experience can be shared across professions and generations.
According to Kate Kolody, the first episodes of The White Room will be released in early October.
